Haute Qualité Environnementale (HQE)

HQE is a French certification system for high-quality environmental performance. It was developed by the French Ministry of Ecology and Sustainable Development in 2002 and is the most widely used environmental certification system in France.HQE certification is based on a set of 14 performance criteria, including energy efficiency, water management, indoor air quality, waste management, and construction materials. To achieve HQE certification, a building must meet a certain level of performance in each of these criteria. HQE can provide a number of benefits for building owners, including reduced operating costs, improved occupant health and well-being, increased property value and enhanced green credentials.

There are four levels of HQE certification: HQE, HQE Excellent, HQE Excellent +, and HQE Performance.
